Hi I’m Hartley. I’ve lived my entire life in a old farm house in rural New Jersey with my mom, my dad, and my three sisters. After graduating high school, I took a gap year and lived and worked all around New Zealand. I spent most of my time at a lodge on the Marlborough Sounds where the only way to get back and forth from the mainland is by boat. I absolutely fell in love with that country… so beautiful!! Now I’m a freshman at SAIC, studying ceramics and printmaking. I’ve done very little printmaking… only what my high school had to offer, so I’m really excited to learn more about that. I love living in Chicago. It’s such a great city! And I’ve met some of the best people. I’m really looking forward to spending the next 4 years of my life here.
